Biography

Matt Troutman joined Ðǿմ«Ã½¹ÙÍø in August 2025 as the Dean of Students, bringing 24 years of experiences working at six colleges in student activities, care services, conduct, and residence life and housing. Dean Troutman is a student-centered administrator, educator, and advocate. He has a bachelors degree in social and behavioral sciences, as well as a masters degree in higher education and student affairs administration. He is currently working on his dissertation to finish his doctorate in organizational leadership. Dean Troutman’s goal is for every Ðǿմ«Ã½¹ÙÍø student to feel like they belong.

What do you love about working at Ðǿմ«Ã½¹ÙÍø?

My passion is helping students develop while at college. I enjoy providing learning opportunities beyond the classroom where students grow, develop new leadership skills, enhance their knowledge through new experiences, and foster meaningful social relationships. Ðǿմ«Ã½¹ÙÍø is a small campus where it is easier to get to know one another and enjoy a robust campus life experience.
